Germantown HELP* offers delivery of an emergency 3 day food supply, prescription assistance program, and diapers to needy residents of Germantown, MD. It also coordinates the Holiday Basket program for distribution of Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets.
Habitat for Humanity believes that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. We build and repair houses all over the world using volunteer labor and donations. Our partner families purchase these houses through no-profit, no-interest mortgage loans or innovative financing methods.
Montgomery Hospice/Casey House* is the only facility in Montgomery County designed and built to provide 24 hour hospice care.
Interfaith Works is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency and a non-sectarian interfaith coalition of more than 165 affiliated congregations of diverse faiths, working together to meet the needs of the poor and homeless in Montgomery County, Maryland. Our programs shelter, clothe, and feed our neighbors in need and provide supportive services with the goal of helping them achieve self-sufficiency. Our mission is to pursue social justice with an emphasis on identifying and meeting the needs of the poor by leading and engaging Montgomery County’s faith communities in service, education, and advocacy.
The Lord’s Table* is a group of volunteers sharing a common concern for disadvantaged people, working in cooperation with Montgomery County churches, synagogues, & community service organizations to feed the needy, offer referral services, and promote efforts to prevent hunger and homelessness.
Mercy Health Clinic* is a nonsectarian, not-for-profit, community health care provider. The Clinic serves uninsured, low-income adult residents of Montgomery County, Maryland and has been committed to providing high quality medical care, educational support and pharmaceuticals to eligible patients since its inception in 2000. MHC recognizes the multi-cultural diversity of its patients and pledges to maintain and develop services and programs that best meet the current and future health care needs of this constituency.
Stepping Stones Shelter* provides homeless men, women and children the opportunity to regain their independence by offering food and shelter in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. Stepping Stones Shelter provides hope for the future, strengthens family values and enables self-sufficiency.
Tobytown - Tobytown is an historic property located at the intersection of Piney Meetinghouse Road and River Road in the heart of Potomac. It was originally purchased by former slaves in 1875, following the Civil War. Many current residents can trace their ancestry back to the original owners. Between 1967 and 1972, the Tobytown neighborhood was renovated and upgraded by Montgomery County. DPC engaged in programs designed to help the children and youth of Tobytown.
Winter Growth* - Assists health-impaired older and disabled adults with services designed to support independence, enhance self-esteem and promote the dignity of each individual.
