One Worship Service at 9:30 a.m.

Rev. Tamara Leonard Lara will be in the pulpit this Sunday.

Purl and Pray will meet on Sunday, August 12 at 11:00 a.m. in the Parlor. This DPW group that meets once a month to work on knitted and/or crocheted projects as well as praying for people we know who are in need. We are currently working on two mission projects. These are prayer shawls and baby blankets for babies being baptized. Purl and pray is open to all of the women and girls of the church. All skill levels are welcome.

Summer Schedule: Through September 9, 2012 – ONE Service at 9:30 a.m.

Youth Group: We are getting ready to kick off Youth Group programming for the Fall. Dale, Terrie and Tamara are looking forward to providing adult leadership but we would really like to make it a team effort, so we are looking for a couple of adults who would like to join us. If you are interested, talk to Dale or Terrie May or Tamara. Our next youth group activity takes place on August 18 when we’ll travel to DC Fest to hear live performances of Christian Music Groups including; Mercy Me, Third Day, Sanctus Real and Kerrie Roberts. We welcome youth and members of the church at large to join us.

We are in need of a volunteer to serve as our new Sunday School Superintendent. Many thanks to Terrie May for filling this position for the past several years. Contact her for a details of the duties and with any questions you might have (daleandterrie@msn.com).

Our August Food Drive is to benefit Germantown HELP. Items always needed are:  breakfast cereals, peanut butter, jelly, tuna fish, canned fruits, vegetables and soups, spaghetti sauce and 1-lb. bags/boxes of rice and pasta. Please bring your donations to the kitchen below the Sanctuary.  Thank you!
