One Worship Service at 9:30 a.m.

 

Dr. McNeilly will return to the pulpit this Sunday.  He will be preaching on the Ninth Commandment.

 

The Discovery Team will meet in the Parlor following worship.

 

 

For Your Information...

 

The Board of Deacons and Session will hold a joint meeting on Monday, August 27, in the Fellowship Hall at 7:30 p.m.  Elders and Deacons take note!

 

Summer Schedule:  Through September 9, 2012 – ONE Service at 9:30 a.m.

 

Youth Group: We are getting ready to kick off Youth Group programming for the Fall. Dale, Terrie and Tamara are looking forward to providing adult leadership but we would really like to make it a team effort, so we are looking for a couple of adults who would like to join us. If you are interested, talk to Dale or Terrie May or Tamara.

 

Craft Workshop – Sat., August 25, 10-3pm at Kathy Kurkjian’s home. All are welcome to join us as we make the crafts that will be sold at the Annual Bazaar on the first Saturday in November.  Please let Kathy know if you will be there (kpk1@comcast.net).

 

Our August Food Drive is to benefit Germantown HELP. Items always needed are:  breakfast cereals, peanut butter, jelly, tuna fish, canned fruits, vegetables and soups, spaghetti sauce and 1-lb. bags/boxes of rice and pasta. Please bring your donations to the kitchen below the Sanctuary.   

 

Coming in September…

 

The Men's Breakfast will be held on Saturday, September 8, at 8:00 a.m.

The Deacons' All Church Picnic will be held on Sunday, September 9, after the 9:30 a.m. worship service. Those who would like to volunteer to help may sign up in the Social Hall on Sundays.

We return to 8:45 & 11:00 a.m. worship on September 16. 

Rally Day will be celebrated between the services on September 16 & Sunday School Classes for all ages begin on Sunday, September 23. We are beginning a brand new youth Sunday School Class!

A new adult class will begin and run for three weeks starting Sunday, September 30. The class will discuss the book, “Unbroken” by Laura Hillenbrand. Please read the book in advance of the start of the class and join leaders Kathy Kurkjian and Mary McClung on September 30. Fair Warning: this one is very hard to put down!
