One Worship Service at 9:30 a.m.

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate our week of Vacation Bible School and hear a report on the recent 2012 General Assembly.  The youth of VBS will sing for us and do portions of their VBS play.  Jan Summers, who attended the General Assembly, will deliver a report.  We will also commission youth & adult leaders who will be attending a conference at Montreat, NC.

For Your Information...

A Memorial Service will be held for Catherine Hugh, who died on June 30, 2012, on Tuesday, July 17 at 1:30 p.m. in the Guild Chapel at Asbury Methodist Village. Please keep her family and friends in your prayers.

Thank you to all who assisted and helped lead our Vacation Bible School this past week!  You were a blessing!

Sunday School teachers needed.  We hope to form a third children’s Sunday School Class in September, but to do so we need two teachers!  The classes in need of teachers are the 4-K class and the 1st-2nd grade class.  Contact Terrie May for more info.

Summer Schedule:  Through September 9, 2012 – ONE Service at 9:30 a.m.

VIPS:  We are invited to join St. Nick's Lunch Bunch at their church - 15575 Germantown Rd, Darnestown - for Pot Luck on Tuesday, July 17 at 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m.

The group participating in the Summer Mission Trip to Virginia Beach will meet at 7:30 p.m. this Wednesday in Fellowship Hall. Be sure to bring in your completed forms!

Casseroles for Mission Trip Participants

Our Mission Trip Participants will travel to their Virginia Beach Work week with casseroles!  DPC Members have signed up to cover all meals. If you signed up, be sure to label what you cook and include reheating instructions!  Bring your casseroles in the week of July 25 during business hours (call the church first), and we'll put them in the Andrew Small freezer until our trip. Or you can bring a frozen casserole on Sunday morning, July 29, since the group will leave following worship.  Also, we need a couple of car top carriers for our trip.  If you have one we can borrow, let us know. For more information contact Tamara.

Youth Group: We are getting ready to kick off Youth Group programming for the Fall. Dale, Terrie and Tamara are looking forward to providing adult leadership but we would really like to make it a team effort, so we are looking for a couple of adults who would like to join us. If you are interested, talk to Dale or Terrie May or Tamara. Our next youth group activity takes place on August18 when we’ll travel to DC Fest to hear live performances of Christian Music Groups including; Mercy Me, Third Day, Sanctus Real and Kerrie Roberts. We welcome youth and members of the church at large to join us.
