Darnestown Presbyterian Church has an active and varied Mission Program that seeks to reach out to local, national, and international groups in need of support.
We are committed to giving more than 10% of our annual budget to missions. We also collect several special offerings throughout the year that directly support Presbyterian Missionaries across our nation and around the world and encourage members to respond to special appeals published by Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. The Darnestown Presbyterian Women are also dedicated to mission, supporting both local and international mission work.
Our committee is comprised of Elders, Deacons, and Congregants and meets on the second Monday of the month at 7:30 in the Church Parlor. All are welcome to attend a meeting.

Focus On Local Mission: Mercy Health Clinic
Mercy Health Clinic is a nonsectarian, not-for-profit, community health care provider. The Clinic serves uninsured, low-income adult residents of Montgomery County, Maryland and has been committed to providing high quality medical care, educational support and pharmaceuticals to eligible patients since its inception in 2000. MHC recognizes the multi-cultural diversity of its patients and pledges to maintain and develop services and programs that best meet the current and future health care needs of this constituency.
Focus On Local Mission: Tobytown
Tobytown is an historic property located at the intersection of Piney Meetinghouse Road and River Road in the heart of Potomac. It was originally purchased by former slaves in 1875, following the Civil War. Many current residents can trace their ancestry back to the original owners. Between 1967 and 1972, the Tobytown neighborhood was renovated and upgraded by Montgomery County. DPC engaged in programs designed to help the children and youth of Tobytown.
