We are faithful to Christ and spirited in all we do, but we're also open-minded and inclusive -- welcoming all to our worship and ministry.  The compassion of Christ shows us our way, and we count on the grace of God to enable all we do.  We invite you to join us!

Founded in 1855, Darnestown Presbyterian Church has been active at ministry and worship for 156 years, and remains a vibrant and growing mid-sized church with a current membership of 450.  We are located on Route 28, Darnestown Road, shortly after entering the town from the south.

Our beautiful building – an historic landmark – is the location for two weekly worship services.  Worship is traditional in style, but lively and spirited in substance.  Laughter often graces the services, and children are always welcome.  Music is provided by several volunteer choirs (Chancel, Bells, Youth & Childrens) who lead us in a range of music from formal to quite contemporary.  Pastors provide preaching that seeks to proclaim the goodness and grace found in Christ, but in a manner that is friendly and applicable to daily living.  Visitors are warmly welcomed, and first time visitors are given a fresh baked loaf of bread!

Our Sunday School is well attended, and it meets each week in our Christian Education Building from 9:45 - 10:45 am.  We also offer two strong adult classes with attendance averaging from 15-20 in each class.  A professionally staffed nursery is open during both worship services, as well as during the Sunday School hour.  Youth ministry to teens is staffed by our Associate Pastor and very active – and the teens are friendly and welcoming to newcomers.

Indeed, we seek to be disciples of Jesus in this current age, but are delighted to include absolutely everyone in our community of faith.  Our goal is to bring the grace and compassion of Christ to life each and every day – or be for all in this current age, as Christ was for all in his.  Yea, we believe it is possible to be spirited and faithful, yet also be inclusive and open-minded!
