Darnestown Presbyterian Women’s Association (DPW)
The DPW organization bases its structure on Presbyterian Women of the PCUSA, whose statement of purpose sets out our shared goals:
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves - to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the mission of the church worldwide, to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.
All women of Darnestown Presbyterian Church are automatically members of DPW. We encourage you to join in all the DPW activities. If you would like the group to sponsor a speaker, launch a circle, start a study, consider a hands-on mission or any other new activity, please let us know - all ideas are welcome. We hope women of all ages will feel welcome to this fellowship.
Check the DPW Calendar for all upcoming events.
DPW organizes a weekend retreat each year, usually in February or March. The locations vary from year to year, and are attended by approximately 20 or so participants. A special program is always prepared, and good fellowship shared. Please join us this year! All are welcome. The following picture was taken at our 2015 retreat.
